Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the SALAFI (সালাফী) mobile application (the "Service") developed and operated by Muaz Bin Imran ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use the Service.

By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you do not have permission to access the Service.

1. Description of Service

The SALAFI (সালাফী) app is a non-commercial, fully free-to-use Islamic application designed for the Bengali-speaking community. The app provides various religious resources and tools without any advertisements or in-app purchases. Key features include:

  • Quran Majeed: Multiple Arabic scripts, Bengali translations and tafsirs, word-by-word meanings, and audio recitations.
  • Prayer Times: Accurate prayer schedules, Qiyam, and Suhoor times based on user location.
  • Hadith: A comprehensive, offline collection of over 20 Hadith books with search functionality.
  • Dua: A categorized collection of essential daily Islamic supplications.
  • Islamic Library: A collection of PDF/e-books from Salafi scholars, downloadable for offline reading.
  • Videos: Curated Islamic lectures and content from YouTube, played via an embedded player.
  • Other Utilities: Qibla Compass, Nearby Mosque finder, Makkah & Madinah Live Stream, Salafi Madrasa directory, and a Q&A (Mas'ala) section.

2. Donations (Sadaqah Jariyah)

The Salafi app is maintained through voluntary donations. The "Sadaqah Jariyah" section provides information for users who wish to contribute to the app's operational and development costs.

  • All donations are completely optional.
  • The app does not process any payments directly. It only provides information for mobile banking (bKash, Nagad) and bank accounts.
  • Donating does not grant the user any additional features, content, or special privileges within the app.

3. Content and Intellectual Property

We respect intellectual property rights and have made every effort to use content from permissible sources.

  • Ownership: The application's source code, design, user interface, and overall structure are the exclusive property of the developer, Muaz Bin Imran.
  • Fonts: Fonts like KFQPC, Noorehuda, and Qalam Majeed are used with respect to their original licenses.
  • Translations & Tafsirs: Translations and tafsirs are provided by respected authors and institutions.
  • Audio Recitations: Audio files are sourced from public APIs.
  • Hadith Content: The Hadith texts provided in this App are stored offline. The App does not claim ownership of these texts.
  • Books (Library): All PDF/e-books are collected from publicly available or free sources.
  • Videos: All video content is hosted on YouTube.

4. App Permissions

To provide its full range of features, the Salafi app requires certain permissions. These are used solely for the functionality described below:

  • Location (Optional): Required for the Qibla Compass to determine the direction of the Kaaba and for Prayer Times.
  • Notifications: Required to display prayer time alarms.
  • Alarms & Reminders: Required for the prayer time alarm service to function reliably.
  • Foreground Service: Required to allow the Quran audio player to continue playing in the background.
  • Vibration: Used for notification alerts.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service utilizes data and services from third-party providers. Your use of these features is also subject to their respective terms and policies.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranty that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Muaz Bin Imran, the developer, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

8. Content Updates and Modifications

The content within the Salafi app is dynamic and may be added, removed, or modified at any time.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh.
